This is glass so it won't scratch as easily as plastic film screen protectors and it looks a lot better than some others (no bubbles, irregular surface, etc.). It's just a clear smooth surface that can be cleaned, carefully of course, to remove the unavoidable fingerprints, smudges and other grime that gets on a camera. The glass itself doesn't appear to touch the LCD. It attaches by adhesive foam around the edges so I am not certain how easy removal will be if necessary, but it is doing its job and looks great now.
