| Customer Reviews: Great Little Camera! June 21, 2010 sjm30741 (Chattanooga TN) Having had a low-end Vivitar camera for many years, and it's battery door breaking, I wanted another small inexpensive digital camera before my upcoming vacation. The price was right for my budget. It was easy to learn the basic functions, and it takes a good quality of photo. It is easy to upload (just plug in and click upload) to my computer and the photos work well on Facebook (not huge file sizes). There are still functions I haven't explored yet, but love the zoom and automatic adjusting flash. The only "con" I've noticed is that many flash shots exhaust the batteries quickly, so be sure to have some spares handy if the flash will be needed.
Polaroid 10MP digital camera June 6, 2010 Jen T (RI) I highly recommend this camera. It does not have a peephole (just a large 2.7 inch display) so don't buy it if you need that. I wasn't looking to buy a DC but this was on clearance at Target for $35 instead of the original price of $100 so I couldn't pass it up. Please note that the cameras with a large display and no small viewing hole are significantly cheaper. My immediate concern was if the camera card would be expensive and that was why it was clearanced. Nope - I got a 4 MB camera card for under $10. I have owned it for less than 2 months so far.
Pros:
- It has face detection capability and creates boxes around people.
- Captures great night or dark area photos
- The clarity is amazing. I used this at a rainy baseball game and water got on the lens, you'd never know it from the pictures.
- It comes with a USB cord for computer connection and 2 starter batteries. I'm still working off the same batteries that came with the camera after hours of use. The battery indicator is 1-3 bars. Mine has hit 1 bar then when I turn it on days later it's back on 3 power bars and still goes for hours.
- It comes with a special ARC software to organize and edit the photos. You don't have to use this software, I am still able to use the scanner/camera wizard that is pre-installed on Windows XP.
- It comes in a variety of colors rather than the plain silver one I already had.
- It records video and voice memos.
- It has some great features viewing the pictures on the camera. You can maximize areas of a picture and the clarity is still flawless.
- Very easy to use, it has advanced photo effects but the auto has worked well for me thus far.
Cons:
- The response time after taking pictures can be slow
- The wrist strap is large and isn't adjustable so you do need to hold onto it unless you're wrist is equivalent to your thigh.
Great Buy For The Price! April 30, 2010 Anita Martini (Seattle, WA USA) I bought this on clearance for $80 and I have to say that this is a very nice camera. I love the features it has, and the steady shot function works great! My grandpa with the shakiest of hands and it can take clear, clean pictures. There are better cameras out there, but for the money and features, this can't be beat! I use 2500mAh rechargeable batteries, and my camera lasts about 200 shots before I need to recharge them.
DRAINS batteries in minutes! Don't waste your time. April 13, 2010 DavidT I couldn't get enough on time with two sets of rechargeable batteries so returned it. This without even trying the bright LCD setting. It's not even worth the $60 I paid imho.
