While i love the sp-800uz, it does have a few quirks - the main one being you need to recharge the battery within the camera. Anyone who loves taking pictures knows this is a terrible idea. Consequently, i thought i'd take a gamble with this little combo - I'm glad I did.
Firstly and probably most importantly.. the batteries (and chargers)
Spare batteries range from a few bucks to around 50, with trusted sites being around 20-25. The chargers are a similar price again. Consequently, to get 2 batteries and chargers for 30 inc postage seemed too good . In this case after testing them for about a month, i am astounded: not only do they charge faster than the camera method, they last noticeably longer too. The charger is surprisingly very good quality, with close-able prong and a separate car adapter cable. These items justify the cost with or without the other add-ins.
The flexi-Tripod
Another gripe with the camera is the position of the tripod screw, which is to one side and which in turn causes balancing difficulty when mounting to a mini-tripod. If you plan to use this, just be sure to set-it up ahead of time. On the positive side the flexi legs are strong enough to hold your camera in some interesting positions though!
Everything else was fluff for me, but some certainly proved useful.
The card reader - very handy
Protection cover - i've tried using this on numerous electronic screens and never thought much of them.
SD card holder - i've got a 2gb and a 4gb card so this is useful. However, its also big enough to hold the spare batteries which proves its worth even more.
All in all, if you are buying the sp-800uz this little set is too good to miss!
 Great Price/Bargain for alot of accessories July 5, 2010

Great accessory kit with a great price for the Olympus SP 800 UZ. I've had this kit for a month and everything in it is working properly. The batteries are great. It has little bit more juice than the battery that came with the camera. I've used Power2000 batteries for my camcorder & still use it 6 years later. It still has alot of juice left. So I know that the battery life for the Olympus camera will last. I have no problems with the battery charger. I wish Olympus put that in the original packaging instead of charging it through camera. But the charger in this kit works great. It's an average 2 hour charging time.
I wish the Olympus put the tripod socket in the middle where the lens/majority is the weight is. It took me awhile to balance it out on the mini tripod.
